Join Audubon Mid-Atlantic as we participate in the City Nature Challenge. We use iNaturalist to catalogue and find the species that inhabit the Discovery Center. Guests are encouraged to bring their tablets and phones and join our staff in finding as many species as we can. No experience necessary as iNaturalist takes photos and identification is done by crowd sourcing from all over the world. A phone that can connect to internet or WiFi is needed for iNaturalist.

The City Nature Challenge is an international effort for people to find and document plants and wildlife in cities across the globe. It’s a bioblitz-style competition where cities are in a contest against each other to see who can make the most observations of nature, who can find the most species, and who can engage the most people. www.citynaturechallenge.org
